Ok so there’s been growing debate in my place of work as to whether my car back in NZ is in fact a jeep… I know for a fact it’s not a jeep as it’s clearly a Toyota Rav 4. But somehow all my UK work colleagues seem to say it’s a jeep whenever I produce a picture of my lovely navy coloured car that awaits me back in NZ!

To me a jeep is the brand Jeep… like a Jeep Cherokee or whatever? Now I’d love a Jeep – a convertible soft top one if I was given the choice haha so I’d fully agree if I thought my car was anywhere near a Jeep… but it’s not.
Apparently it’s a gay hairdressers car.
Which is fine… except I’m not a gay hairdresser.
And neither is the person who’s been driving it at presumably a Nana-speed for the last 2.7 years – my lovely Mum haha.

Toyota Rav 4... NOT a jeep!

OMG how excited am I right now!! Decided to split up my loooooooooooong flight back home to NZ by having a stopover in San Francisco for a few nights! I’ve dreamed about going there for years but it’s gotten stronger since I moved to the UK for some reason. I CANNOT wait to leave now & whenever I think about it I get a massive grin on my face! (actually been caught out a couple times at work grinning like a maniac for no apparent reason haha)

My plan is to do a couple of day trips as well as general sightseeing round the city & just soaking up the atmosphere really… sitting in a cafe people-watching will be a regular occurrence haha. So far I’ve scoped out a couple of mint tours I definitely wanna do – day trip to Yosemite National Park & 17 Mile Drive down the Pacific Coast Highway!

Of course all the other touristy things like Alcatraz, Pier 39, Fishermans Wharf etc… OMG & the bridges! I ADORE the bridges there so can’t wait to see them up close. Ohhh & the cute houses off of that sitcom Full House I used to watch as a wee tyke haha.

My excited face haha…

Well people it’s alllll about to kick off this Friday with the opening ceremony and first game of the Rugby World Cup in my gorgeous homeland of New Zealand! As a Kiwi living in the UK at the moment it’s very surreal to think all this is going on back in my wee country but it’s all very exciting!

Only thing that kinda sux is that some of the All Blacks games are on a Friday morning UK time when I’m at that place that makes me do stuff for money haha. Oh well… I’ll just have to keep checking the updates in my break! I’m heading home to NZ in mid-October so should catch the quarter-finals onwards back with Mum and Dad in Christchurch. Wow that is very weird to think I’ll be back home soon! After being over here for over two & a half years it’s gonna be very odd I’m thinking… specially with all the earthquake damage etc. What I’ve decided to do is sort through all the photos I took of places in Christchurch before I left for the UK and find some good ones to show a before/after shot showing what’s left… if anything. Going to be very sad but I will no doubt put it on here.
